Vincentown Diner Website

||The end of 2009 saw the completion of the Vincentown Diner’s website, a restaurant in New Jersey. This was the diner’s first website, and it was important to the customer that they incorporate the elements in which they felt made them unique. We decided to design the site highlighting the unique offerings of fresh, locally grown produce and other locally-made goods and services. The site features AJAX scripts in multiple areas: the Menu page utilizes a script which pulls the menu contents onto the page dynamically. The main page has both a slideshow of product, and a dynamic specials and events menu.||

Main Page

The Vincentown Diner homepage serves as a jumping off point to the multiple areas of the site.

AJAX is used in several areas of this site including the slideshow at the top of the main page, as well as the Bulletin Board.

Dynamic Menu

The customer was presented options for displaying their robust menu, and opted for the seamless transitions only an AJAX menu can offer. When a user selects a different menu category, the menu content area changes, without forcing the user to another page.

Nub Cigar Website

||Nub Cigar is a unique product from the Oliva Cigar company designed by Sam Leccia. The product has a character that is edgy with plenty of attitude, a character that stands out from it’s counterparts. Binary Design had contracted the Wise Guys to help out on the Nub Cigar’s new site revamp. Designwise would be assisting in the art direction and developing the Flash elements. The final product was a mixture of strong, solid colors with detailed flourishes and theme-inspired accents allowing the product to take center stage.||

We went with a blueprint/schematic motif allowing them to showcase their work.

Valenzano Winery Brochure

||As a follow-up and compliment to the Valenzano Website, this brochure was released with a look and feel that mimicked the new site’s design. There was a brochure available from the year before as a building block. The previous year’s work had the company colors throughout with little variation. Both inside and out there was white text on a dark bed of red. Our take was to keep the modern sensibility intact on the outside, but when opened up there is a sense of walking into the vineyard. Lively, warm colors and sharp imagery of grapes and of the product dominate the inner panel.||

On the Cover

The outside scheme stayed pretty much the same with the company colors. Several new fonts were used to spice things up, and the information adjusted with a more logical flow.

Inside, the user is welcomed by the warmth of the vineyard itself, the family and it’s product.

Valenzano Winery Website

||In the fall of 2007, we were approached by Valenzano Winery to revamp their website. Their winery, located in southern New Jersey, caters to wine drinkers throughout the state. They were looking to expand their business by boosting their online presence. We took a look at their existing site and put together a presentation that would help communicate their business’ identity and give them several unique tools to meet their needs. The result was a custom-tailored website allowing users to see the wine selection, find retailers, fill out contact forms, view custom wine labels and browse the image gallery.||

A simple, straight-forward wine listing was chosen for the wine page.

Events at the Vineyard

The winery offers both agricultural tours and booking for special events. The Facilities page was designed to give people information on how to plan their next event.

Find a Retailer

A custom-written Flash application was developed to tie into the existing retailer database enabling users to quickly find a local shop that offers Valenzano Wine.
