The end of 2009 saw the completion of the Vincentown Diner's website, a restaurant in New Jersey. This was the diner's first website, and it was important to the customer that they incorporate the elements
in which they felt made them unique. We decided to design the site highlighting the unique offerings of fresh, locally grown produce and other locally-made goods and services. The site features AJAX scripts
in multiple areas: the Menu page utilizes a script which pulls the menu contents onto the page dynamically. The main page has both a slideshow of product, and a dynamic specials and events menu.
Main Page
The Vincentown Diner homepage serves as a jumping off point to the multiple areas of the site.
AJAX is used in several areas of this site including the slideshow at the top of the main page, as well as the Bulletin Board.
Dynamic Menu
The customer was presented options for displaying their robust menu, and opted for the seamless transitions only an AJAX menu can offer. When a user selects a different menu category, the menu content area changes, without forcing the user to another page.
